I am represented by Jenny Hewson at Lutyens & Rubinstein Literary Agency. My debut novel THIRST TRAP is out now with Picador (UK) and Crown Publishing (US). Thirst Trap won the Kerry Group Irish Novel of the Year Award at Listowel Writers’ Week 2026. It was also shortlisted for an An Post Irish Book Award and the Betty Trask Prize, and was a monthly pick for Dakota Johnson’s TeaTime Book Club; you can read more about it here.

I was awarded a Northern Debut Award for Fiction by New Writing North in 2022. My short fiction has been published by the London Magazine, Gutter, and Extra Teeth, and has also been shortlisted for the London Magazine Short Story Prize (2023), the Francis MacManus Short Story Prize (2021), and the Bridport Prize (2020). I have also placed in the top three of the Benedict Kiely Short Story Competition (2021 and 2022).

I have a PhD in eighteenth-century studies from Newcastle University. I am Media Sub-Editor for Criticks, the reviews blog of the British Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies.
